Career & Technical Education - Wasatch Front Consortium


The mission of the National Academy Foundation (NAF) is to sustain a national network of career academies to support the development of America's youth toward personal and professional success in high school, in higher education, and throughout their careers.

Academy Programs

There are three academies available to Jordan District students – Academy of Hospitality and Tourism. Academy of Information Technology and ProStart (Professional Food Service). 

Academy of Hospitality and Tourism
The Academy of Hospitality and Tourism provides public high school students with the requisite knowledge and skills for a successful career in one of the world’s largest service industries, through a curriculum that includes coursework in business, geography, hospitality and economics.

Academy of Information Technology
The Academy of Information Technology introduces students to the broad career opportunities in today’s digital workforce and equips them with the personal, analytical, technical and communications skill they need.  AOIT opens the door to new options, so that students may make sound choices for the future

Academy of ProStart (Professional Food Service)
This academy is associated with ProStart.  ProStart's focus is on promoting professional restaurant and foodservice qualified individuals.  The mission of ProStart is to introduce students to the broad career opportunities in the restaurant and food service industry.
